Millcreek Canyon

Marc, Liz and I went to Millcreek Canyon on Sunday to see the fall leaves. We took some fun pictures and I almost fell into the river--notice the picture where Liz is catching me? It is so fun with Liz living here!

14 Weeks and Counting

Well I am done with my first trimester and you can tell I have a belly. I must say my belly looks bigger in this picture than in real life, but oh well. Here are some classic quotes from the past three months. One of my students said, "Mrs. Wasson you are getting a pooch, you are going to have to burn all that off." A good teacher/friend at work said before he knew I was expecting, "Wow, you are looking rather stout." And another good quote was today a girl from another room came up to me and said, "A boy in your class told me you are pregnant, is that true?" After I said yes she ran over to a group of girls and said it was true and one of them said, "She can't be pregnant she is too skinny." After seeing this picture I laughed about that comment.

Anyway, we are very excited. The baby is due on April 9th. I will probably end up being in labor on my birthday. Melissa, my sister-in-law, had the same due date last year and had Matthew on the 14th. I guess we will see how things go!

I just looked at the background of this picture and was disgusted at how messy everything is. All I can say is nausea will do that to you.

Red Butte Gardens

Marc and I got in for a $4 adventure. In the picture with both Marc and me we are surrounded by wasps. You can't tell, but they were flying everywhere. Neither of us had ever been to the gardens before; it was so pretty.

Crawdad Fishing

Marc and I went crawdad fishing at Strawberry Bay near Heber today. It was an exciting adventure! We left right after Marc's math class and he was so excited to go I couldn't resist trying it out. Marc had heard about doing this from one of his friends at work. I packed the cooler with lunch, raw chicken and fishing string. We fished for about three hours and kept reeling in crawdads---even pregnant ones! (See picture below). Marc is going to take them into work tomorrow and share them with his friends. You eat the tail with flavoring and that's it. Click on the video and Marc will give you a little explanation of what you have to do to prepare them.

4th of July

We spent the 4th of July in Spanish Fork with Marc's Aunt Linda. Her neighbors had a huge fireworks show honoring Uncle Terry (Linda's husband) who was killed in an accident back in September. It was the most amazing, close up fireworks show I have ever seen. It was incredible! We spent the day visiting, going on walks, jumping on the trampoline--I can still do back flips! and enjoying a barbeque with the neighborhood. It was a great day!

This is my brother-in-law Ryan. He has a faux painting business and currently his project is the room pictured here. It's an extra room in his house. He added the paneling and then he is going to texture and paint the top half of the wall. Marc and I have decided to do that in our extra room. We have the paneling up and Marc got a free work bench out of the deal on craigslist. After the paneling is painted Ryan is going to come and texture and paint the top half. We will post pictures when it's done!

More Rodeo Pictures

Here is the whole family picture. It was such a fun group of people, I felt like a Moench! I even got to hold little Evelyn for a little bit of the rodeo. I think she wins the cutest little girl in the world award.

Thanks Ade for the pictures. I should have taken off my glasses so they didn't glare so much and my haircut disaster is still growing out. I am going to get it fixed today (cross my fingers), Hope it turns out a little more normal. It's been like this for months now.
