Apparently my mom and some of her sisters ate the top layer of our original cake the day after our wedding. I'm glad someone got to enjoy it while it was still fresh! Janice Nicol, my friend from Orinda, sent us a cake from bake a wish. It was delicious as you can see because we almost ate the whole thing! It came on the day of our anniversary. The picture of the Salt Lake Temple was taken a few years ago when Janice came to visit. She is the greatest!

After Maui Liz came here to visit for two weeks! We had a lot of fun visiting cousins and friends. We had Emily Young, Matt Moench and Elisa Barber over for dinner the night before we drove back to CA. Liz helped me start off my school year with my 3rd/4th split class. She spent many days helping me organizing centers and writing lesson plans. 
She is the best sister in the world. Marc took Liz for a little drive in his racing mustang. It goes super fast.

The day we went back to UT my parents drove us to Muir Woods so we could see it and take advantage of our national parks pass before it expires next month. It is a beautiful place.
