First Snow

Here is Grace out in the snow for the 1st time. She is lucky she got to see snow within the first week of life...I didn't see any until I was five! Marc says it usually snows on his birthday so today we weren't very surprised to see that there was snow. Happy 30th!

Grace Lucille

Here are a few pictures that were taken in the last few days. Marc did the first post the day she was born, but here are a few more pictures from the last few days. The flowers were given to Grace by my parents...it is the same train holder that was given to me on the day I was born with some flowers in it--about 27 years ago in two weeks. It is so much fun holding her. Neither one of us can wipe the smile off of our faces.

Welcome Miss Grace!

We'd like to introduce the new addition to our family...Grace Lucille Wasson! Born March 27th 2010 at 1:15 in the morning. She weighed in at 8 pounds, most of which is probably in those big chubby cheeks of hers and measured 21 and a half inches. Nothing missing, nothing extra. Baby and mother are doing great. I love the little chin quiver when she cries! Very charming little girl. We went in for the induction at 9:00pm on the 25th... so we're all still a little sleepy. She doesn't seem to be kicking as much now as she did in her Mom's tummy. Thanks to everyone that has given us so much support! She's darling!

One More Night

Here we are in the final stages. We go in tomorrow night unless she decides to come earlier. I have been having some pains this morning so I called the doctor and she just said to get ready in case she decides to surprise us. We are so excited! I also added a little picture of her temporary dresser drawer bed since the cradle is taking a little bit longer than expected we had to improvise. It will be done soon and I will be sure to post the pictures of it.

Little Booties

One week from tomorrow, unless the baby decides to come earlier! She may because for the past few days I have felt her feet a few inches below my ribs and my stomach seems to be empty near the top where it was full a few days ago!

While on bedrest I needed to do something productive so I decided to learn something new. I made little baby booties! Well, they are technically ballet pumps, not booties, but it's easier to say booties. Aunt Susie called me and got me started a week ago and I finished today. I love them!

3rd Day

I am on my 3rd day of bedrest and I'm already going crazy as you can see from this picture. The doctor put me on bedrest just because work stresses me out big time and causes my blood sugar numbers to get high so I'm done until after the baby gets here...Marc says that I seem to stress out more now that I'm on bedrest just because I hate having nothing to do. I will have to get creative with ways to occupy my mind and distract myself from my aching back and constant belly kicks. She just hit five pounds!
