39 Days to go...

Well, here I am 34 weeks pregnant...5 weeks to go. Marc is doing his usual thing in the background-homework. I am making that face because I wanted to document my reaction to the large kicks. She is very active and loves to hang from the monkey bars also known as my ribs. Her little foot sticks out often and I have felt it from toe to heel. It's a small little foot! She doesn't seem to like it when I lay on my right side and she likes to kick a lot at night which can actually shake the bed and wake Marc up. When I eat sugar she gets very active and she gets the hiccups a lot. The first time I did the non-stress test her heart would beat 2-3 times and then hiccup. It lasted the whole appointment which was 1 1/2 hours! My hands have just started to swell and I fell again yesterday on my hands and knees because I tend to forget I have no sense of balance. We are excited to finally see what she looks like in real life rather than on an ultrasound. I go two times a week for a non-stress test. I just went off track on Friday so I am excited for the time to rest and prepare our place for March 26th.

I also wanted to throw in the picture of the valentine cake I made. Red velvet with cream cheese frosting berry sauce and heart sprinkles. The heart sprinkles were my last purchase I made at Williams-Sonoma. I was told I can go back and work any holiday, but I'm thinking I would rather spend my time away from school with the baby.

New Due Date

Well I guess my baby wants to come a bit earlier than planned. The new date of delievery is March 26th. Crazy...I was already feeling unprepared and now I'm feeling even more behind. No more April 9th or fear of an April Fool's Day baby--although I was actually looking forward to that. Good thing I have most of February off to get ready! Baby Girl Wasson measures 3 pounds 5 ounces and I finally noticed my clumsiness today. I was reaching down to pick up something I dropped on the floor in my friends classroom and I totally fell and caught myself before there was a need to be too embarrassed. Less than two months to go... Oh and look at the free high chair we got-I love it!

Baby Cradle!

After we got back from Christmas in California Marc had one more week to kill before getting back into school so he started building a cradle! He got the patterns from my Uncle David and has been working 12 plus hours every day this week. It's getting there and I can't wait for it to be done. He is a talented guy.

Christmas Break

We were able to relax, spend time with my family and see a few places while in California. We went to the Oakland Temple and saw the lights, walked through SF, went to the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield and spent some good quality time with our nephew Matthew. He is such a cute boy-I can't believe how much he has grown. We are looking forward to going to the East Bay as soon as possible. If we can't make it before the baby we will go shortly after.

Christmas Eve

We had a great Christmas in California with my family. The Crowder's came on Christmas Eve and unfortunately I don't think I got any pictures! We played a fun Christmas bingo game with prizes, we sang Rudolph with Dave as Rudolph--everyone wore antlers with name tags and Dave had a red nose. We enjoyed the company and beautiful weather! The elves came and brought everyone matching pjs and slippers the night before Christmas--here are some of the pictures I was able to get.

Bigger

Today when I saw my sister she said I was fat--pregnant fat of course but I am growing big really fast now. Too bad I'm not in the last trimester yet for my growing belly's sake. .. but it's coming so soon and I'm not ready! I will get a picture on here soon enough--hopefully tomorrow before school starts. For Thanksgiving my parents flew into town and we planned to have a fun dinner at my sister's new place. The day before I got a really bad sore throat, cough, body aches, shaking and then a fever... all swine flu signs so I took tamiflu. After the tamiflu I went to the doctor and it had turned into pneumonia. It's been a rough 10 days. I finally went back to work on Friday--the doctor said to expect to have congestion and a cough for the next month or two. Marc is still recovering. Hopefully there will be no more sickness in our house for a year or more. I have had the flu two times and pneumonia once since I have been pregnant...I don't want to be sick again! I can feel the baby moving all the time so she must be doing ok in there. Our extra room is collecting a lot of fun baby things including an amazing stroller and tons of cute clothes thanks to my sister, mom, friends and of course myself. It's getting exciting! 53 more days of teaching!

Here are some pictures I found on the camera of the extra room that we finished right before my sister moved in and then a few clothes. Notice the bed is covered with baby clothes? I have fun going in there and looking at them. I also bought a 20 dollar rocking chair that sits in our front room. We are slowly getting ready!
