4th of July

On the 4th of July Marc and I bought some goldfish to stick in the pool for Michelle and Emily to play with. We played with them a lot too and the girls loved the fish. We were asked all day to catch them so they could hold them. It was fun.

Phillipino Food

Marc served his mission in Naga Phillipines. I have always heard about food from his mission, but have never tried it so tonight was the night. We had Shauna, Lace and Zac come over to eat it with us...probably because my mom and I knew we would be too chicken to eat balut. We had chicken adobo, lumphia, fried fish balls, balut and ube icecream for dessert. My favorite was the lumphia and chicken adobo. The fish balls are like meat balls but fish and then balut is...well a fertilized duck egg. The pictures explain it all. Shauna, Lace and Marc ate the duck...I could not. It was a very fun night.

Manti Pageant

Marc and I went to the Manti temple pageant right after I got out of class and he got off of work last Saturday. It was a lot of fun to go somewhere other than work and school. It was nothing compared to the Oakland Temple Pageant I grew up with, but it was still a lot of fun to see it and do something different.














We had no problems entertaining ourselves before the performance started. After we went and spent the night in Ephraim with Grandpa Bert and Marc made some yummy french toast Sunday morning.

On our way home we got a call from Marc's brother Mike. He said that his car had broken down so we stopped by Marc's parents to get some clothes Marc could work in. All he had left there were his white overalls from when he was an umpa lumpa for Halloween and an old polo shirt from Q-lube or something? I'm pretty sure it's a shirt from one of his old jobs. Anyway, got to love the white overalls.

Here is the umpa lumpa picture with the white overalls. Also, Marc requested I put in a picture of his R-1. That is Michelle Mike's oldest and Emily is int the white overalls picture. I drove up to snowbird with him once on the R-1 and let's just say I was very relieved when this bike was sold.

I am a lot like my mom because I love making my new hutch look nice. I promise this will be the last time I put in a picture of my hutch, but I had to show my 4th of July stuff. I promise to put in pictures of Marc and me on my next post which should be in a few days and not a few months. Marc and I went to the Manti temple pageant last week and I took some fun pictures. I am just waiting to get them from Marc's dad because I had to use his camera. I should also have some fun ones of school because I only have 7 days left! Next year I am teaching a 3rd/4th split. It will be interesting to see how that goes.

Marc's Toys

We just sold Marc's 1963 Jaguar XKE Coupe to a guy in Florida. We wish we had the money to fix it up, but I guess you have to make sacrifices when you decide to go to back to school. Since Marc and I got engaged he has sold his...


1990 CR500...







His red saleen mustang convertible...and now we are selling his Yamaha dirt bike. If anyone wants it call Marc! One reason I didn't want to date Marc was because he had the convertible mustang, now I kind of miss it.

I am kind of playing around with the blog now that I have some extra time. These are some pictures from when Marc and I were dating. He took me shooting with his grandpa in Ephraim. The pictures are too fun for me not to post. The one on the tractor is in Shauna Francom's backyard. Marc, Dan and I helped clear out her backyard before I moved out. It was a lot of work, but we had fun!

Last weekend Marc and I went to Las Vegas to buy an engine for his motorcycle so we can sell it on craigslist. My wedding dress is currently on there along with Marc's dirtbike and other random car related parts. It's fun to make a little extra money on the side. We are hoping to make enouh to go to the Isle of Wight this September to see where Marc's dad grew up. We just bought our first thing on craigslist too...it barely fits in our small condo, but it freed a ton of spase in our extra room. It's also perfect to display Grandma Wasson's china.
We were only Vegas for about 30 minutes max because we both don't like it very much. We had stayed in Washignton with my aunt and uncle the night before and were planning to go to the Grand Canyon right after Vegas. We were exhausted from driving so many hours and we were only 43 miles away from the Grand Canyon and the road was closed! No Grand Canyon. The one good thing was I had forgotten to charge my camera right before we left so I couldn't take any pictures. We are going to arches this weekend so I will make sure I charge my camera before.

I just went off track on Friday for three weeks! This was a note a student left on my board. I did not notice it until after school. I guess I will miss it a little, but it will be nice to relax and earn a little extra money.
