Bike Ride

Look what I just did! This is the bike Marc had while we were dating. It scares me to death. We went for a nice little ride around the capitol. I kept telling Marc to slow down...apparently we passed a cop before I told Marc to slow down and we were already going 15 under the limit. Ha! Bullet bikes are fast---but I guess I think 15 under is fast enough.
Yes...I am wearing a bike helmet. It's better than nothing...the one I have worn in the past is with Ryan's 4 wheeler.

Little Mover

Grace doesn't crawl, she scoots. She loves to scoot over to the closet to get animal crackers, going on bike rides, she loves to slurp noodles, blow bubbles in the bath tub, help sort laundry and cupboards and she starts shaking when we open the door because she loves being outside.

Root Beer

Marc loves root beer. We saw that my friend Emily did something like this so we tried it. Luckily my blood sugar was low right after we got it all set up. Turns out I like diet IBC the best...probably because that is what I am used to. However, Howie's came in a close second. Marc liked the German one the best...I can't remember the name, and then came Howie's. The one we both hated the most was Bundaberg from Australia...blah!..disgusting, but it won the prize for the best presentation. It sure is deceiving. It was a blast, but I'm not sure either of us wants another root beer anytime soon. Grace really enjoyed this too...
This is the first time Grace has fallen asleep in her high chair.

Sunday Pictures

The pictures of Grace in the cream and navy blue dress is the day of her birthday. It was a beautiful sunny day with a blanket of snow in the morning! The other pictures are from when my mom was here the second week of April. Grace has been sick with a form of the rotavirus since that week. She is very close to getting back to her happy little self. It has been a messy and busy few weeks.

1st Birthday!

Grace turns 1 tomorrow! Well...in less than four hours to be exact here are some pictures from a little party we had tonight. We went all out and she won't remember how hard Marc and I worked...and Liz! Marc did the fancy little cake for Grace to attack and I made the butterfly cupcakes. It was so much fun! I wish we had a bigger place so we could invite everyone. Happy birthday to Grace!

New Bed

Grace is sleeping in her new bed tonight. This crib box and mattress have been sitting in our bedroom for the last 10 months. We wanted Grace to sleep in her cradle from dad for as long as possible, but since she now pulls herself up we decided it was time to set it up. It looks pretty good and grace seems to love it. She had a lot of fun playing with the garbage can while we set things up. (Notice the gorgeous rocking horse also made by dad for Grace. She just pulled herself up next to it tonight for the first time also.)
