This is how Grace fell asleep this afternoon. I wish you could see her eyes. She really is sleeping in the picture. She loves this little bear--It's from the principal that hired me at Beehive 6 years ago.

Santa Cruz and The Pacific Coast Highway

We drove to the SF Bay Area on Friday the 13th of August. While we were there we spent a day in Santa Cruz and driving back up Highway 1 to Halfmoon Bay to eat at the Flying Fish Grill...delicious. The P.C.H. is an amazing drive, with breathtaking views of the waves crashing against the cliffs, kite surfers, and of course fields of beautiful farm land.We also wandered around Pigeon Point Lighthouse and picked blackberries and strawberries at the Swanton Berry Farm. We all got some good sun and enjoyed laying on the beach.

While in California we met up with some of my old buddies and had dinner at Filippos and ate some tasty icecream at Ici. It was so much fun to get together with friends to celebrate Pascal and Lauren's upcoming wedding! We missed Daisuke (Japan) and Keith (Chicago). Come home already!

Matthew and Grace

We had so much fun in California with Liz, Grandma and Grandpa Egg and Scott, Melissa and Matthew. Grace had a fun swimming adventure in the frog pool. Somehow she slipped through my fingers and went in head first. She was a trooper though and got back in with the help of her pacifier.

Jamming With Grace

Grace and I made blackberry/strawberry jam from berries we picked at the Swanton Berry Farm off of Highway 1 near Halfmoon Bay. We also picked some pears from my dad's pear tree in California. I had so many pears leftover I decided to make some pear puree for Grace. It was a fun afternoon. I'm not sure Grace loves eating food other than milk...more seems to come out than goes in!
