Cradle Bumper

My mom and sister helped me get through the last three weeks of school. My mom got here a week ago Tuesday and just left yesterday. It was so nice to spend time with her and of course Grace loved it too. My mom brought a cute little 4th of July outfit that she wore to the Granite parade yesterday. She also brought cute little red and blue sandals that she will be wearing today. I didn't want her little feet to get burned at the parade so that's why she is wearing the socks. Grace has also been working on rolling over. In the video her feet are cut off so you can't tell that I gave her a little tug on the foot right before she made it over. She had rolled over once or twice, but I can't seem to capture it on the camera. My mom also made the cute purple and green cradle bumper. I love it and I'm sure Grace does too. Now Grace can't get her little feet and hands through the spindles. I'm happy to know she will be able to sleep in there longer.

Marc and Grace

Marc and Grace like to talk back and forth to each other. This is what I caught of them last night before going to bed. Unfortunately my camera stopped recording because it was full, but after this they talked about hippos, kittens and Santa Claus.

Last Day of Maternity Leave

Tomorrow I head back to work so I decided today had to be the best day ever and it was. After doing "have to do everyday things" this morning I went over to the vacant building just south of us and cut TONS of roses to make a few bouquets (while Grace was sleeping). Then I packed up some lunches and Marc, Grace and I headed up to Big Cottonwood Canyon with the Phillips and we hiked to Dog Lake. I carried Grace on the way up and Marc carried her on the way down. Good thing because I fell in the snow on the way down. We miss the Phillips even more so now that they have Annie who was born less than a month after Grace. It was so incredibly beautiful up there. I wish we had more time to enjoy the mountains. I love the picture of us waiting for Jon to figure out the camera. We all were so exhausted and it shows. Marc hung the backpack in the tree so we could balance the camera on the backpack for the picture. After that we came home and made homemade pizza and used the leftover dough for cinnamon rolls. It was such a fun day. I don't like thinking about how many smiles, cute baby sounds, dirty diapers and feeding times I am going to miss out on now that I'm going back to work. Marc will have to send me pictures every second of the day when he is there and I'm not and then his mom will have to also. I will just have to make the best of every second I have with Grace in between work days. I am excited to go back to work, but I love this sweet little girl!

Island Park Idaho

Grace's first trip was to Island Park Idaho and Yellowstone. We went with some friends from our ward and stayed in a beautiful cabin. We had so much fun.

Grace's Bumbo Seat

I should have taken the bib off, but I didn't think about it until after it was over. Grace has been able to hold up her head since day one so I decided it was time to try the bumbo seat.
